Fearless Friday: Using Positive Visualization to Manage Fear

Fear of change.  Fear of the unknown.  Fear of what may happen…

We’ve all been there.  An unforeseen change or situation arises and you start imagining worst-case scenarios.

Instead of imagining all the terrible outcomes that could be, try visualizing positive outcomes.  Your mind is powerful and imagination is one of its most effective tools.  Fill it with beauty, happiness and gratitude instead of fearful images. 

Visualize that nasty storm moving out to sea and dissipating.  See yourself in that dream job.  Imagine your loved one overcoming the odds and becoming stronger than ever. 

We are not suggesting that positive visualization alone will determine outcomes, but it will calm your mind, knock fear out of the driver’s seat and invite feelings of possibility, instead of inevitability.
