Hey Herd Sister,
It’s so tempting to tell the old story. You know the one. It explains all the reasons why you are where you are and not where you feel you ought to be in life.
It’s so practiced that it’s become your default script. And it elicits all the right kinds of sympathetic nods and tut-tuts from listeners.
It also keeps you stuck right where you are and don't want to be! Because who can argue with all those excuses, explanations, and limitations?

Friends, let’s try something radical. Let’s tell a new story. This will take practice but I want you to take the following steps in undoing and rewriting these scripts:
|
And here are four basic guidelines that can help you crafting your new tale:
As you change your story your vibe will change to match the tune of your story.
You will see possibility. Feel hope. Become more confident.
Anxiety will slowly transform into anticipation.
Opportunities appear that may have always been there but you were too busy lamenting and telling the same ol, same ol’ to anyone who would listen.
Over time, the woe-is-me tale loses it's appeal and makes way for the inspiring story of how you turned it all around
Because you can, you know. YOU are in control of your story.
So, what's your story? The new one, please.
Love,
Carolyn
- Create the story of your potential, not of current circumstances.
- Tell the story of your desires, not of the contrast you are experiencing.
- Affirm what will be as if it already is. I’m not telling you to lie but I do want you to guide the Universe’s hand in this.
- Believe. Take the staunch belief you placed in your limitations and place it behind your success. Do you watch Ted Lasso? If not, then you should. Just. Believe.
